A William IV Royal Mail Coach Guards flintlock pistol by J. Harding & Son with walnut stock, the 23cm brass barrel bearing proof marks to breach and inscribed 'J. Harding & Son, Boro, London, Lancaster and Clapham', also inscribed around the muzzle 'For His Majesty's Coaches', the lock plate with another proof mark and stamped 'J. Harding & Son' and dated 1835.
Condition: Missing ramrod, top part of jaw screw snapped off leaving bottom half in place, top half of jaw to hold flint also snapped off, moving parts appear free however will not stay in cocked position, various old marks to stock including old deep scratches.
