A 19th Century mahogany cased cylinder music box by Kleyser & Co Southwark, length 43cm.
It appears as though the spring is not connected to the winding mechanism so isn't gathering any tension, as a result it wont play without being assisted. There is one of the tooth tips missing as pictured but rest of mechanism appears ok. Small piece of veneer chipped to case bottom left but is present, other surface wear to top and minor stress present in places. various old repairs to veneer across front panel. Overall appearance is good with good colour and patination. Key present.
