An unusual eastern sailor's mahogany ditty box of shaped form with brass inlaid crucifix, heart and an anchor set within rosewood hearts, campaign style brass inset handles to the sides and escutcheon made from a pierced brass verge pocket watch balance cock, raised on six bun feet, the interior with one lockable compartment and two others, probably 19th century, length 30cm, height 15cm & width 18.5cm.
