A late 18th century portrait miniature on ivory, circa 1790, depicting Lord Nelson, surrounded by a border of thirty six rose cut diamonds, yellow and white metal unmarked, gross wt. 27.9g, 54mm x 44mm, with associated box. Exemption ref. 9BGMXAKG
Condition - very good, general wear only, the frame appears to of the period, we cannot rule out that the miniature is later, perhaps 19th century, provenance, the Late Ernest Young (jewellery and silver dealer), consigned with a number of items including lots 250 and 251 same auction.
